National Conference honours outstanding contributors 2017(07-27-2017)

On July 26, the National conference honouring outstanding people with special contribution to the nation was held in Hanoi. Attending the conference were Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, honoured 700 outstanding war invalids, heroic Vietnamese mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, ex-youth volunteers, and the relatives of martyrs and revolutionary contributors, representing over 9 million national contributors across the country.

A candle-lighting ceremony in honour of war heroes and martyrs took place at the Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery in the central province of Quang Tri on July 26 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27). The event was co-hosted by the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training and Quang Tri province.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong visited a nursing centre for revolutionary contributors in Vien Ngoai village, Hanoi’s Ung Hoa district, on July 25, ahead of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947). Attending the event were Mr. Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member, Secretary of Municipal Party Committee; Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs; Mrs. Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, Permanent Vice Secretary of Municipal Party Committee.

Ceremony grants certificates honoring 498 fallen soldiers(07-21-2017)

On July 18th, 2017, in Hanoi, on the occasion of 70th anniversary of War invalids – Martyr Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2017), Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) held the Ceremony grants certificates honoring 498 fallen soldiers. Attending the ceremony were NA’s Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and leadership representatives from relevant ministries and sectors.

42 literary works awarded the prize for honoring people with meritorious contribution to the country(07-18-2017)

On July 17th, 2017, in Hanoi, Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs in collaboration with Vietnam Writer’s Association held the Awarding Ceremony for the literary works honoring people with special contribution to the country on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War invalids and martyrs Day (July 27th, 1947 – July 27th, 2017). Accordingly, 42 literary works which have been outstanding from more than 800 works were awarded the prize. Attending the Ceremony were Mrs. Truong Thi Mai - Politburo member, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communications; Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Huu Thinh, Chairman of Vietnam Writer’s Association, Leadership representatives of the relevant ministries, sectors and the writers, poets on the whole country.

Memorial services held for soldiers killed in Bien Hoa airport battle(07-14-2017)

On July 12th, 2017, in Dong Nai province, Dong Nai People’s Committee held a ceremony to commemorate soldiers who died in Bien Hoa airport battle in January 31st , 1968 and re-bury the newly-found remains of the fallen soldiers.
