On April 12th, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) and Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) and Nippon Foundation held the Seminar on policies, measures on credit, vocational training, employment, product introduction for people with disabilities. The Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung, Vice Chairman of National Committee on People with disabitities of Vietnam attended and chaired the Seminar.

The Charity Run Vietnam – Singapore Friendship 2018 was held on January 27 in Hanoi to celebrate the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations establishment. The programme was launched by the Embassy of Singapore in Vietnam, in coordination with the Vietnam – Singapore Friendship Association. It was one of the series of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations (August 1, 1973-2018). Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations, Hoang Binh Quan; Deputy Minister of Labour - Invalid and Social Affairs, Dao Hong Lan, Head of the Prime Minister's Economics Advisory Board, President of the Vietnam - Singapore Friendship Association, Vu Viet Ngoan and Ambassador of Singapore to Vietnam, Catherine Wong attended the event.

Launch of the Second National Survey on “Women’s Health and Life Experiences”(01-29-2018)

On 25 January, 2018, in Hanoi, the launching workshop of the second National Survey on Women's Health and Life Experience funded by the Australian Embassy in Viet Nam was held today in Ha Noi by the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) in collaboration with the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Planning and Investment), and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Viet Nam. Participating in the event were Mr. Pham Ngoc Tien, Director of Gender Equality Department of MOLISA; Mr. Craig Chittick, Australian Ambassador to Viet Nam; and Ms. Astrid Bant, Representative of UNFPA in Viet Nam; together with representatives from MOLISA, General Statistics Office, other line ministries, representatives from Northern provinces, UN agencies, development partners and both international and local NGOs.

WHO organizes national consultation workshop for child drowning prevention programme 2018-19 in Viet Nam(01-24-2018)

Together with the Ministry of Labour - Invalid and Social Affairs (MOLISA), and Bloomberg Philanthropies, the World Health Organization (WHO) organized the national consultation workshop with particiapants from the government, donors and academia, including MOLISA, provincial Departments of Labour - Invalid and Social Affais, Hanoi University of Public Health WHO Geneva, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and Bangladesh International Drowning Research Centre.
