Vocational training must be at the breakthrough of the sector of labour – invalids and social affairs focus in order to meet the demands for high-quality human resources in the country, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has said. “Vietnamese labourers must be well-prepared so that they are able to work in more complex industries and earn higher incomes”, Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam underlined while attending a Online Conference to launch tasks of the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) on January 18.

Regional monthly minimum wage to rise in January 2019(12-14-2018)

Regional monthly minimum wage applied to labourers working under contracts in Vietnam will range from 2.92 million VND (125 USD) to 4.18 million VND (180 USD), depending on each region, as from January 2019.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a 78-million-USD financing package to help Vietnam’s labour force meet market demands by improving the quality of national technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions.

Kien Giang to offer vocational training to 10,800 labourers(12-12-2018)

The Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang will provide vocational training for more than 10,800 labourers living in rural areas in the 2019-2020 period. With the training, the rate of the province’s trained labourers will reach 67% by 2020 compared to 48% this year. The province aims to have more than 80% of trainees with jobs related to their vocational skills.

On December 3, 2018, in Hanoi, Manpower Group Vietnam in collaboration with MOLISA organized a workshop on "International integration and human resources in the future - equipping skill for the successful of young labourers in Vietnam". With a total workforce of nearly 56 million people, however, only 11% of the worker have high-quality skills...is the difficulty of Vietnam in the process of international integration.
