On February 14, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs, Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep awarded the Medal for the cause of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs to Mr. Oh Ki Hwan – Republic of Korean (ROK) Embassy's Counselor to Vietnam. Attending the ceremony were Leaders of the Department of Overseas Labour, Center of Overseas Labour, Department of Employment, Ministry Office.
Appreciating the efforts of ROK Embassy Counselor in Vietnam during his working term from February 2016 – February 2019, Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep stressed that Mr. Oh Ki Hwan has put in all efforts to contribute to promoting the efficiency of labour - social affairs cooperation between ROK and Vietnam, which is a bridge between ROK Embassy in Vietnam and the authorities in ROK. Prominent contributions includes supporting the re-signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Labour and Employment of ROK on the selection and sending workers to work in ROK under the Program EPS in 2016. According to the Deputy Minister, this extension has contributed to bringing thousands of Vietnamese workers to ROK to work, actively contributing to improving people's lives, which is one of the main implementation social measures, job creation.

In recognition of the effective cooperation of Mr. Oh Ki Hwan for the cause of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs in general and dispatching labourers to work abroad in particular, contributing to promoting the effectiveness of cooperation between MOLISA and Ministry of Labour and Employment, Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs decided to award the Medal for the cause of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs to Mr. Oh Ki Hwan. This is the highest award of the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs for foreign individuals who have made positive and sustainable contributions in the fields of Sector of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs.
Deputy Minister Doan Mau Diep trusted and wished the Counselor to continue to succeed in his new position in order to make an important contribution to the career of cooperation between Vietnam and ROK.
Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs hopes to continue working closely with his successor, Mr. Le Jea Guk. The Deputy Minister hoped that in the coming time, ROK and Vietnam would continue to cooperate friendly and effectively in the field of labour, employment and social affairs.
