In the framework of the official visit to Denmark and participation of the Summit "Partnering for Green Growth and the global goals 2030" (P4G) at Copenhagen, Denmark, on October 20th , 2018, the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen witnessed the signing ceremony of Letter of Intent on vocational education cooperation between Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs (represented by Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Director General of the Directorate of Vocational Education) and Danish Ministry of Education (represented by Mr. Rasmus Vanggard Knudsen, Director of the Department of international cooperation).
The Letter of Intent affirms that the two sides continue to widen the cooperation relationship in the field of vocational eduation in Phase II after the end of the Phase I (2016 – 2019).
The key content of the projects in the second Phase is aimed at solving the urgent issues relating to the shortage of skill and practice capacity of the graduated students comparing with the practical demand of the industries in Vietnam.
The two sides agreed on the cooperation in the basis content below:
Group 1: Extend and expand the initial results of Phase I through revising training curricula amended in Phase I to assess the impact of the dual vocational training system and enhancing co-operation between vocational institutions and businesses in professional education.
Group 2: In order to disseminate vocational training institution in Vietnam on the international experience and Danish experience on training the careers in the fields of food industry, food safety and hygiene; support Vietnamese institutions establishing structures to support the close and sustainable cooperation with businesses to ensure programs having the quality that meet the needs of the careers.
The Specific contents of cooperation, the parties will agree after signing this Letter of Intent.
