At the meeting, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung highly appreciated the contribution of the Ambassador in enhancing comprehensive partner relationship between Vietnam and Denmark in the last term, in which, the cooperation between MOLISA and Denmark with the support through the Program of “Strategic Sectors’ Cooperation – SSC” including vocational education. Moreover, the two sides have signed the MOU on cooperation in the field of vocational education based on the General Statement on comprehensive partner between Vietnam – Denmark.
Sharing with the Ambassador, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung said that, according to the authorization of Vietnam’s Government, MOLISA was authorized of state management of vocational education. Currently, the country has 1,989 vocational institutions. These are considered as an important force helping improving the quality of human resource, quality labourers participating into socio- economic development of the country. Therefore, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung hoped that in the future, the Danish side would continue to coordinate and support Vietnam in the field of vocational education as well as committed that MOLISA to be ready to cooperate with Denmark in the field of mutual interest, such as vocational education, human resources training towards the goal of green growth and sustainable development.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung thanked the Ambassador for the close cooperation during her term in Vietnam and hoped that in the new role she would continue to contribute to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Danish Ambassador thanked Minister Dao Ngoc Dung for the warm welcome. She congratulated the achievements of Vietnam in all aspects of the country for the past time. In particular, she was very pleased with the progress of the pilot project to strengthen cooperation between agencies, vocational schools and enterprises in the field of Graphic Design and Interior Design. With 05 activities, the main purpose of the project aimed at supporting the development of a dual training system in which businesses and vocational institution working closely together to ensure the assessment and appropriateness of the skills required for Human Resources Development in Graphic Design and Interior Design.
The Ambassador affirmed that in any position, she would continue contributing to further strengthening the comprehensive cooperation relationship between the two countries, including the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs.
