Opening ceremony of the 3rd training course for Vietnamese Labour working and studying in the field of nursing in Germany

On September 5th, 2017, in Hanoi, the Center of Overseas Labour (Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs) in collaboration with Vivantes Co.LTD and Goethe Institution Hanoi held the Opening ceremony of the 3rd training course on language and essential knowledge in the school year 2017 – 2018 for 177 candidates participating the Program of training and sending Vietnamese labours to work and study in the field of nursing in Germany. Minister of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung attended and had a speech at this event. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong – Director General of Department of International Cooperation; Mr. Ha Xuan Tung – Director of Center of Overseas Labour; Mrs. Iris Assenmacher – Counselor, Head of Social Affairs Committee – German Embassy to Vietnam; Dr. Herrmann – Executive Director of Vivantes; Mr. Michael Flucht – Vice President of Goethe Institution in Hanoi.

Implementing the Intention between MOLISA and Ministry of Economic and Enegy of Germany, Center of Overseas Labour (COLAB) was assigned by MOLISA to sign the Coordination agreement with Vivantes Co.Ltd in order to select, train and send Vietnamese candidates to work and study in the field of nurse and elderly care in Germany. Since 2015, COLAB has deployed training for 3 courses for candidates of this program. In March, 2017, COLAB collaborated with Vivantes.Co.Ltd in selecting the candidates for the 3rd course and 177 candidates have met the requirement.

In the speech at the ceremony, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung congratulated 177 candidates passed the selection and participated in the training course from the next day. He emphasized that, more than 2 year of implementation, the cooperation between COLAB and Vivantes Company has been increasingly affirmed and developed. The quality and effects of the training have always been ensured; the number of trainees has increased after each course, especially the 3rd course, the number of trainees increase 118% compared to the plan.

On the base of that result, Vivantes Company decided to widen the field of cooperation with COLAB  in selection, training and sending Vietnamese labour to work and study in Germany. On June 13th, 2017, COLAB and Vivantes signed the supplementing agreement on selection, training for Vietnamese labour who will work and study in the field of caring elderly in Germany.

According to the Minister, the agreement is an great opportunity for Vietnamese labour wanting to work and study in Germany, as well as marks a new development in the cooperation relationship between the Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany and Ministry of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs.

Minister Dao Ngoc Dung required COLAB and related unit to closely collaborate and unity the plan of training, ensure the best condition, method, equipment and facility in order to lecturers and students catch the best result.  He also hoped that all students of this program would train the consciousness, ethics and strictly abide discipline regulated by the regulations of the Center Overseas Labour, Vivantes Company and the Goethe Institute Hanoi.
