Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam receives the Delegation of Korean Society of Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities

On February 21st, at the Ministry’s head office, Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam had a cordial meeting with Mr. Jo Sung – Min, Director of Korean Society of Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities.

At the meeting, Mr. Jo Sung Min discussed with the Deputy Minister about the plan of the Contest of information technology initiatives for people with disabilities. Foreseen, the Contest will be held in Vietnam at the end of the year 2017. This is the 7th Contest was held for the people with disabilities in ASEAN region with 270 candidates participating, in which, Children at the age from 13 to 16 can participate. The Organization of the Contest have implemented the survey of the situation and place of holding and the other conditions for the Contest and hoped that the Ministry and Vietnam’s Government would support for the successful Contest…
   In the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Trong Dam agreed and high appreciated the plan of holding the Contest. He said that Vietnam has been willing to cooperate, to ensure the contest reach good results. MOLISA assigned to the Office of the National Committee for PWDs is the standing agency in collaboration with the organization of the contests. Besides hosting the contest, Vietnam also wants to get the help of the Korean Association of PWDs in the consider, assistance for people with disabilities in Vietnam on model vocational training and creating the livelihood for PWDs and the communication to raise awareness for the workers who help people with disabilities ...
The Ministry will discuss with the Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Information and Communications to create the best conditions for the contest. "This Contest is special meaningful skills competitions. We believe in the success of this competition", the Deputy Minister stressed.
As well as, the Deputy Minister also noted that, before the contest, the organization should hold a press conference to introduce the content, conditions and procedures of the competition for people with disabilities and implement well the communication, providing materials for the candidate of countries to study carefully before the Contest. He also recommended that The organization should collaborate with the Association of people with disabilities of Asia Pacific to raise the contest to a higher level.
